Largemouth bass
anglers can expect to take bass in shallow water, in the early spring to late
fall. Anglers are most successful with a variety of shad imitation lures or
soft plastic baits. Channel catfish are caught
year-round in good numbers. Most successful catfish anglers use smelly baits
or cut shad. Hybrid striped bass can be caught year
'round. Most are caught by anglers trolling in open water areas or vertically
jigging spoons or live shad.
