Five Great Things To Do And Then Some In Washington DC

What do you want to do first when you get to Washington DC? There are so many places of interest, you will have to start making a list as you are introduced to popular landmarks and historical attractions. Or you can just go with the flow and see where the wind takes you. Pretty much anywhere you go is going to be fun, and you just have to decide what you want to see and do. Consider these top five things to do in Washington DC.

There are many attractions like the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial that you might want to visit. Those two attractions and more would be on my list, but the first place that jumps out at me is the National Air and Space Museum. It is on the corner of 6th and Independence Avenue, and it is said to feature quite a long and interesting tour.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is another must see attraction, and it is on Henry Bacon Drive NW. You have likely seen this memorial on television and in movies many times, and it would be something else to see it in person. There are almost no words to describe what it would be like I’m sure.

The Capitol Building and The White House would be two other top places of interest in Washington DC. Let’s take a look at Ford’s Theater next though because I thought it would always be a unique place to visit. This historical building is on 10th Street NW, and I think I would be in awe as I took a look around there. This is a place where tragedy struck when Lincoln was assassinated, and it would just be a place that makes your jaw drop.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum would also be a place that would be really neat to visit. It is located on the corner of 8th and F Streets, and there are presidential portraits and all kinds of great art there. Reviews talk about the magnificence of the covered courtyard, and you can just imagine how cool that would be.

Imagine how cool all of these attractions would be. You just need to enjoy everything you can get to during your time in Washington DC. You might not make it to every attraction, but you will certainly have one of the times of your life as you make your way around the capital city.
